The Bible is central to what we do and what we believe. To stay connected to our True Source through Jesus Christ, we go to God’s Word.
We believe “the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be, by the Holy Spirit, the unique and authoritative witness to Jesus Christ in the Church universal, and God’s Word to [us]. (Book of Order, W-4.4003b)
The study of the Bible occurs in small groups in homes within our community, along with two major studies held at the church each year – one during the Lenten season and another in the fall. We have a guest instructor, once a year, and our pastor teaches the other.
We study the Bible in different ways – through the Books of the Bible, themes, characters, and topics within the Bible. We have a good time of food, fellowship, and learning. We learn together by sharing and interacting with each other as we read the Word of God. We make use of media, lesson outlines, note taking, and conversation, and we always allow for differences of perspective and interpretation. We look to hear God’s Word to us, so that we may apply it to our own real life.
We invite you to join us, no matter where you are on your faith journey. Bring your Bible, along with a desire to know more about God, through Jesus Christ. The list below will give you an example of our recent studies. Join us!
