Bethlehem’s youth group is designed for Senior Highs (Grades 9-12) and Mid-Highs (Grades 7-8). We usually meet every Sunday evening 5:00 –7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall during the school year. The Youth Group gathers for dinner, Bible study, and service projects, along with fun and games. This year, the theme of our youth group has been “Welcome Home” – finding a home in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Throughout the year, we plan and participate in special events that help feed the hungry and care for others. We depend on the parents and congregation to assist and encourage our youth in these special events. Some of the these events include: the C.R.O.P. Walk, the “Souper Bowl”, various field-trips to other churches, camping trips, serving at Freedom House, writing devotionals, and participating in our worship services.
We also participate in the Presbytery of the James and at Camp Hanover. This year, one of our young people, Kylee Dotson, is on the Presbytery Youth Council, and she will help lead our youth in participating in special projects, such as STOP HUNGER NOW.
