Free Tutoring Sessions
On Thursday afternoons, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., we are hosting free tutoring sessions in our fellowship hall as a way to provide a service to students and families in the community. Students will be required to bring assignments and relevant materials with them. Note: There is no internet access in fellowship hall. Students will be matched as closely as possible with volunteer tutors from the church who have expertise in the areas of need and sessions will be “one-on-one.” All activities will take place in the fellowship hall, where there will be at least 2 adults at all times. If additional rooms are needed, at least two adults will be in each room. Restrooms are accessible from fellowship hall.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will also be taking various precautions in order to help ensure the health and safety of your child(ren). Temperatures will be taken as participants and volunteers enter the fellowship hall. Anyone with a temperature of 100.5 or above will not be permitted. All participants and volunteers must wear masks/face coverings and utilize hand sanitizer upon entering. A distance of at least 6 feet will be maintained between student work areas and work areas will be sanitized after each use. Though we will be observing social distancing as much as possible, please note that adult volunteers, out of necessity, will need to be closer to the students in order to monitor their work.
